It’s no secret that 2016 has kept me scrambling. And when nearly a whole year has you feeling like you are barely holding on, finding peace can be tricky.
Gratitude is the highest energy
My friend Sarah reminded me that gratitude has the highest energy vibration, even higher than love. Which actually makes so much sense because in the Bible, God continually tells us to be thankful people.
“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
“I will give you thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise you.” – Psalm 35:18
Scientifically, grateful people are happy
And there is science to back this up. Clinical experiments have shown when people are given structured gratitude exercises, they become happier as they practice those activities. Gratitude exercises include keeping a gratitude journal, writing down things you are grateful for, even calling people to tell them you are grateful for them. Choose ‘happy’ with us
Brené Brown said, “I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness — it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude.”
Maybe you don’t believe in positive energy vibes, but I bet you’d still like to feel happier and find more gratitude this month – even if you don’t feel like being grateful.
